Duties
Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Supervise and manage bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails and specialised drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support kitchen operations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the venue.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control inventory to minimise waste.
Develop new drink menus and promotional offers to enhance customer experience.
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with other departments such as catering or events management to coordinate functions or special occasions.
Monitor financial performance through sales analysis and implement strategies to optimise revenue.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants.
Hold a personal alcohol license.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience in restaurant or hotel settings with a focus on service excellence.
Familiarity with culinary arts or food production processes is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Previous barista experience is beneficial but not essential.
Strong understanding of hospitality principles including serving guests professionally and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Experience in managing stock control, ordering supplies, and implementing promotional activities within a busy venue.
