Bar Manager
who understands the commercial realities of running a bar and takes pride in delivering consistently good service.
This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership of a bar and the chance to showcase what they can do.
The role
As Bar Manager, you'll take ownership of Crybaby's bar operation day to day. You'll lead service from the floor, set standards behind the bar, and play a key role in refining the drinks menu as part of the venue's next phase.
This is not an admin-heavy role.
It is a delivery-led role with genuine input.
You'll be trusted to run the bar properly, make sensible commercial decisions, and ensure the venue feels consistent and well run night after night.
Key responsibilities
Leading service and setting the tone behind the bar
Owning cocktail quality, consistency and pace
Reworking and tightening the drinks menu and specs
Managing stock, ordering and waste control
Understanding and protecting GP% across the bar
Training the team to deliver drinks correctly and efficiently
Writing sensible rotas aligned to trade
Keeping the bar organised, profitable and compliant
What we're looking for
You should have:
Experience as a Bar Manager or strong Assistant Manager in a cocktail-led venue
A solid understanding of bar costs, margins, GP% and stock control
Strong cocktail knowledge with a practical, flavour-first approach
Good judgement and calm leadership during service
Pride in delivery and an interest in showcasing your work

Bartenders looking for creative freedom without accountability
Working pattern & pay
Wednesday-Saturday service
Approx. 40 hours per week
Salary 34,000-38,000 depending on experience
Role and salary reviewed if trading days expand
