Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen personnel.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises.
Lead by example in serving customers, providing excellent hospitality and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance appraisals to foster a motivated team environment.
Develop and implement promotional activities to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to uphold the venue's reputation.
Maintain detailed records of sales, expenses, and staff performance for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a bar or similar setting.
Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Familiarity with culinary processes, food production, and kitchen operations.
Previous experience in serving within a hospitality environment such as hotels or restaurants.
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and record keeping.
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to food service environments.
Additional experience such as barista or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential.
