Managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant as well as providing strategic input in regards to events, content, and sales. High standards for team leadership, organisation, and customer service are key to this role. Managers set the example for the rest of the front of house staff by creating a positive and hard working work culture, especially when the bar is busy.
Duties
- Manage and supervise bar staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Create work schedules and allocate duties effectively.
- Take responsibility for creating content for marketing/social media.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed/monitor best prices for stock
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and licensing laws
- Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally
-Serve as point-of-contact for private parties and venue hires.
-Work with security staff and entertainment staff to ensure memorable experiences for the guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Experience in Cocktails/Mixology and as a Barista
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with supervising staff in a restaurant or bar setting
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a hospitality environment
