The Swan at Lavenham are looking for an experienced person to join their team of hospitality experts as a Bar Manager.


Full time role




Pay:

24,420.00 - 27,000.00 per annum



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a focus on food preparation, culinary skills, and team management. As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing bar operations, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and patrons.

Responsibilities:




Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock control. Train and mentor bar staff in serving techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence. Develop and implement creative drink menus that align with current trends while ensuring cost-effectiveness. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service of food items. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews as necessary. Part of the F&B team so working in the restaurant as well as working for events





Requirements




Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation and production. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and team collaboration. Previous experience in supervising or managing teams is essential. Culinary experience or cooking skills are highly desirable. Familiarity with barista duties is an advantage but not mandatory.
