Job Description

Experienced Temporary Bar Manager (Maternity Cover) required for a busy bar and night club in the heart of Nottingham City Centre

Holiday: 28 days paid holiday a year, plus 8 paid bank holidays.

Must be flexible, reliable and be available to work unsociable hours. Please note you will be expected to be available to work weekends and public holidays.

Bar Manager Qualifications/Skills:



Accomplished mixoligist. Excellent multitasking ability. Problem-solving skills. Interpersonal relationship skills. Attention to detail. Strong leadership ability. Organizational skills. Customer service skills. Calm under pressure Able to maintain restraint in stressful situations. Ability to deescalate tense interactions. Judgment and creativity. First Aid Comfortable with hospitality and sales technology platforms. Enthusiasm and lots of energy.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:



Bartender's license. Prior experience working in a bar or restaurant. Supervisory experience. Being available to communicate with the police upon request and provide any relevant evidence/ statements to support any incidents until 4am.

Bar Manager Roles and responsibilities:



Bar



Oversee day-to-day operations Ensure start and end of day procedures are maintained-including, lights, security and alarms Design strategy and set goals for growth and maintain budgets and optimize expenses Promote events, offers and advertise through social media platforms- Instagram/Facebook and any other relevant platform- socialise and respond to messages- ensuring this is maintained regularly, during your working week. Set policies and procedures Oversees planning for special events. Selects and purchases liquor and other supplies. Tracks customer behaviour and sales. Maintains budget and monitors costs and sales Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance Prepare regular reports for upper management Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors Maintains inventory. Initiates and maintains vendor relationships. Ensure that Fire safety checks are completed regularly and the First Aid box is maintained and training refreshed when required. Ensure that all safety and licensing procedures are followed- including police incident requests Report and feedback to upper management where required and follow all company procedures

Staff



Determines employees' schedules.-Rotas Ensuring the staff maintain the bar and the bar is well-stocked and clean. Ensure employees work productively and when necessary disciplines and dismiss staff following procedures.

Pay: 26,000.00 per year
