We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced HR Manager to cover maternity leave. It is anticipated that the role will start on 3rd November to allow time for a comprehensive handover with with current post holder.
As stated above, the role is currently full time hours 8:30am to 4:30pm, however we would consider part time hours to allow shorter days, or a day off per week.
Key responsibilities
To lead on human resource matters for the Centre as necessary, ensuring that up-to-date guidance and procedures are understood and implemented
To provide professional advice and support to CLT on the interpretation and application of HR policies and to manage a caseload of HR matters, including absence management, disciplinary, capability
To be responsible for maintaining accurate personnel records in line with statutory and audit requirements
To ensure computerised personnel records are maintained using the SIMS system and to submit statutory school workforce census data
To maintain a Single Central Record of recruitment and vetting checks in line with statutory requirements
To track and monitor staff absence and to complete returns for payroll and internal reporting purposes
To manage end-to-end recruitment processes
To work with the external payroll provider and manage processes via their online portal
Key requirements
Essential
Educated to degree level or equivalent CIPD qualified (or working towards)
Practical experience of working as an HR professional in a large complex organisation
A proven track record of successful HR management e.g. redundancy/disciplinary/ capability processes
A proven track record of providing high quality HR support and advice
Desirable
Experience of working as an HR professional within an educational and/or public sector environment
Experience of implementing safer recruitment within an educational and/or public sector environment
A working knowledge of SIMS
