Plaza Khao Gaeng are seeking a Bar Manager to join their team at a brand new opening in Central London, due to open Spring 2026. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable and passionate about all things food and drink. Khao gaeng broadly means 'curry over rice'. Plaza Khao Gaeng, Arcade Food Hall's flagship Southern Thai restaurant, is a celebration of the coast to jungle cuisine. It's a kaleidoscope of curries thick with fresh coconut milk and aromatic curry pastes, fermented fish for depth, and searingly hot stir fries with cooling herbs alongside.
Khao gaeng restaurants fill the space around them the more popular they become. Plaza is inspired by one such place that has taken over an old movie theatre in Bangkok. Curries set out in gleaming trays fill the entrance under the faded facade and up the stairs to the box office. This anytime comfort food provides pause in a place cool and quiet from the bustle of the street below.
The Role
As a Bar Manager you will have experience in managing at least one outlet, you will have a good understanding of cocktails, beers and spirits and wines.
You will have experience managing a bar that operates within a restaurant, or that has an extensive food offering. You will be outgoing and flourish in services and guest-facing shifts. The successful candidate will be on the floor in the restaurant as well as behind the bar. Key roles will be arranging and managing training, constructing rotas, managing and reporting stock, and drinks development.
The Successful Bar Manager will have:
Prior experience as Bar Manager within a high volume and high-quality restaurant or bar;
Passion for and an understanding to lead from the front, with high standards;
A keenness for team development;
Passion for beverages, food and hospitality, along with the eagerness to continually learn;
The desire to develop your career within an ambitious and trend-setting restaurant group;
