Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Bar Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in driving sales, supervising food and beverage preparation, and ensuring smooth operational flow within the establishment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders and serving personnel Oversee food preparation and ensure quality standards are maintained in line with health and safety regulations Manage inventory levels of beverages and other stock items, placing orders as necessary Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations across all areas of operation Lead the team in delivering excellent customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events Train new staff members on service procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting environment within the bar area

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, preferably within a bar or similar setting Supervising experience with demonstrated team management skills Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in managing inventory and operations Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is advantageous but not essential Exceptional communication skills with a friendly yet professional demeanour
