The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the bar team, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, to deliver outstanding service.
Oversee bar offerings, ensuring consistency and quality.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in compliance with food safety standards.
Develop and implement menu offerings, including specialised cocktails and food items.
Ensure all production adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the premises.
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly to enhance guest experience.
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and team meetings to foster a motivated and well-informed team.
Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory for reporting purposes.
Enforce responsible alcohol service policies in accordance with legal requirements.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, preferably in bars or restaurants.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable.
Familiarity with culinary practices related to food production within a bar setting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of customer service excellence.
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food handling and alcohol service.
