We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar, lead a team of bar staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for staff management, stock control, compliance with licensing laws, and driving sales through quality service and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff
Ensure a high standard of customer service at all times
Develop and implement drinks menus, promotions, and specials
Monitor inventory and order stock as needed, controlling costs and waste
Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with regulations
Ensure compliance with all licensing laws and company policies
Manage cash handling and banking procedures
Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
Drive sales and profitability through upselling and service excellence
Collaborate with kitchen or events staff to coordinate service for functions and busy periods
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a senior bar role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Good knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and cocktails
Experience in stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Confident with POS and booking systems
Personal Licence Holder is essential
Desirable:
First Aid and Food Hygiene certifications
Experience running events or private functions
Marketing and social media awareness to promote the venue
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
