We are seeking a Part-time Bar team member to join our friendly and professional team for a period of three month to cover long term sick leave. There will be a possibility of contract extension for the right candidate following a successful probation review.
The exact hours of work are 20 hours per week, this will include some evening and weekend work.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of bar work. It would also be desirable to have some knowledge of cocktail and food preparation, although this is not essential.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provide a warm and welcoming service to our private members and their guests.
Serving hot and cold drinks over the bar. Preparing and delivering snacks and light bar meals.

Essential Skills:
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain an inviting atmosphere.
Accurate till use to ensure that all products are charged correctly, along with experience in cash handling and cashing up.
Availability to work between the hours of 2:00 PM and 11:30 PM on weekdays, and from 12:00 noon until 11:30 PM on weekends.
Have availability to work additional shifts as needed, including additional hours to cover extended bar hours for special events and National Holidays.
Some understanding of basic food hygiene and the ability to maintain cleanliness at all times.
Willingness to undertake in-house training to become proficient in all bar service areas, including food preparation and barista work.
Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques and the ability to move heavy barrels/kegs safely within the cellar. Full in-house manual handling training will be provided.
Desirable Skills:
Understanding of all current licensing laws.
Proficiency in correct dispensing techniques to deliver accurate measures.
Proficiency in stock control.
Food hygiene certification.
Experience in assisting with the running of events.
Understanding of key holder responsibilities, including locking up the building and ensuring the alarms are set.
