Responsibilities

Serve drinks and refreshments efficiently and courteously to guests at the bar Take orders accurately and process payments using the POS system Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards Prepare basic food items and garnishes as required, ensuring quality standards are met Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service Ensure responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and adhering to licensing laws Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts Provide friendly guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when necessary, maintaining a clean workspace Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices Experience with serving, food preparation, or culinary activities is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when engaging with guests Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Ability to work well under pressure during peak hours and maintain professionalism at all times Experience in guest services or upselling techniques is beneficial but not mandatory
