We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable new staff for our busy little country pub on the outskirts of Yelverton. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. It is essential that you are able to work evenings and weekends and have your own transport or can reliably commute to us.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of service. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and addressing any queries or concerns. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs for restocking. Uphold all health and safety regulations within the bar area, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a genuine desire to help guests feel welcome. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. A passion for catering to customer needs while maintaining high standards of service quality.
