Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team at a lively Latino pub in Streatham. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Fluency in both

English and Spanish

is essential, as is being

18 years of age or older

, due to the nature of alcohol service. Your role will involve preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons in both English and Spanish, taking orders, and responding to inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards at all times. Assist in managing inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Uphold the establishment's policies regarding responsible alcohol service.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of bartending techniques and drink recipes is advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices to ensure a safe dining experience for guests. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A friendly demeanour with a passion for helping others enjoy their time at our venue.

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
