Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic

Bar Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing the overall guest experience. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth service during all shifts. Supervise and motivate team members, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff. Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimise waste. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Coordinate food preparation and ensure quality control for all culinary offerings. Develop and implement innovative drink menus and promotional events to attract customers. Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible alcohol service practices. Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures. Train staff on service standards, food safety procedures, and product knowledge.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a bar or restaurant environment, ideally with team management responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends. Experience in hospitality with a focus on food safety standards and food production processes. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Background in restaurant or hotel experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of serving protocols and hospitality industry best practices. Barista experience or expertise in specialised beverage preparation is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining high service standards.
