Job Summary

Here at The Bournbrook Inn, we are seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in bartending and hospitality. You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train bar staff, ensuring exceptional service standards are met. Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the bar area. Collaborate with kitchen to ensure smooth food service. Be able to confidentally close down the bar safely. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, striving for resolution. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bartending, with a strong understanding of drink recipes and preparation techniques. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in both service and cleanliness. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. Experience in hotel work is benefitial but not necessary.
