Job Summary:
The Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and upholding health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for mixology, and a commitment to providing a memorable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Bar Staff:
- Lead, train, and mentor bartenders and barbacks to ensure high performance.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries and complaints promptly.
- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere and engage with guests to enhance their experience.
Drink Preparation:
- Oversee and participate in the preparation and serving of beverages, cocktails, and food as needed.
- Maintain the quality and consistency of drinks according to established recipes.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and manage wastage to optimize profitability.

Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including alcohol service laws and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment and utensils.
Financial Management:
- Assist with cash handling and financial reporting, including reconciliation of cash registers.
- Monitor sales and implement strategies to maximize revenue and reduce costs.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of bar promotions and events.
Qualifications
:
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
