Duties
Lead and supervise the bar team, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the bar area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Develop innovative drink menus, oversee beverage presentation, and ensure excellent serving standards.
Monitor customer service to guarantee guests receive a memorable experience; handle customer complaints professionally.
Organise staff rotas, supervise shifts, and manage labour costs efficiently.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws and food safety regulations at all times.
Assist in organising special events or promotions to increase patronage.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with specific supervisory or team management experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
Experience in food safety standards and regulatory compliance within a hospitality environment.
Familiarity with food production processes in a bar or restaurant setting; hotel or catering experience is advantageous.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience serving customers in a hospitality setting; barista experience is a plus.
Knowledge of beverage service including cocktail mixing and presentation is desirable.
