Bar Supervisor

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bar staff, including bartenders and servers Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling and sales processing Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Train new staff members on service standards, POS operation, and safety protocols Monitor shift performance, manage scheduling, and handle customer complaints professionally Assist in kitchen management tasks related to food production, catering, or banquet services as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with health regulations Support team management efforts by motivating staff and fostering a positive work environment

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced food service or hospitality environment, preferably within casual dining, fine dining, or hotel settings Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and beverage service including barista or coffee experience is a plus Familiarity with restaurant management systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety standards Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development Background in managing shift operations within casual dining or restaurant management roles Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage customer service issues effectively
