Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bartending and restaurant work, along with leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional service and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness within the bar area.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the bar staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service. Oversee the preparation and presentation of drinks, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock control. Train new staff on bartending techniques and health and safety regulations. Develop creative drink menus that align with current trends and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production for bar service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Requirements

Proven experience in a bar management or supervisory role within a restaurant or bar setting. Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food production and serving alcohol. A passion for providing outstanding customer service.
