Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including serving, food preparation, and cleaning duties
Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to quality standards
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in compliance with food safety regulations
Develop and implement operational policies to optimise efficiency and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
Train new staff members in service procedures, safety protocols, and culinary techniques
Monitor customer feedback to continually improve service quality
Organise staff rotas, manage shift schedules, and oversee team management to ensure smooth operations
Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally as a Bar Manager or similar leadership role
Extensive restaurant experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production
Knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
Experience in managing teams effectively within busy settings such as hotels or bars
Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and best practices in serving alcohol responsibly
Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; a passion for hospitality is essential
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
