Role Overview:



We're looking for a friendly, experienced bar supervisor to help lead the front-of-house team at our much-loved village gastropub in Cambusbarron -- the kind of place where locals know your name and visitors feel instantly at home. We're proud of our warm atmosphere, great drinks, and relaxed vibe, and we're looking for someone who shares that passion.

Key Responsibilities:



Working with the General Manager (GM), front of house and kitchen team to lead the day-to-day running of service and dealing with any issues calmly and kindly Taking care of opening and closing duties as needed. Leading bar service with a friendly, hands-on approach, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations; delivering great drinks and genuine hospitality to ensure every experience is one our guests will remember Serving a variety of drinks including beer, wine, cocktails, and coffees, as well as food and supporting drinks development, including seasonal specials Training staff on drink preparation, food safety practices, and customer service excellence and motivating the team so that they handle alcohol responsibly and serve according to agreed service and legal procedures Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation at all times; keeping the bar clean, tidy, managing bar stock control, ordering, rotation, and minimising wastage

Who We're Looking For:



Our ideal bar supervisor will have strong experience in a restaurant/gastropub and the ability to deliver great service to our guests. We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, that is reliable, confident handling a busy bar, and wants to join our growing team.

Proven bar experience essential -- confident with both a pint pull and a wine menu Previous experience in a supervisory role within the pub or hospitality industry Organised, reliable, and confident managing a shift Comfortable handling bookings and working with the GM on basic admin (experience with booking systems is a plus) Broad knowledge of and a passion for the food & beverage industry; cocktail knowledge and barista experience is desirable. Someone who's as happy chatting with locals on a Tuesday evening as they are on a busy Saturday night - creating a great gastropub experience Someone with a positive, 'can-do' attitude, who's a team player and happy to muck in and help wherever needed A love for village life and a desire to be part of the local community Flexible availability, particularly evenings and weekends. As we move to longer opening hours, further hours will be available to work. Basic Food Handling qualification is a plus
