. We are a small team that loves providing an amazing guest experience that is personal to each person who visits. There are two on-site restaurants: the Conservatory restaurant (seating up to 40 covers) and the 3 AA Rosette Library restaurant (seating up to 14 covers).
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to serve and create memorable drinks, provide fantastic customer service, oversee the daily operations of our bar and support service in our restaurants.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and interact with guests, providing friendly and professional service while offering drink recommendations
Ensure the smooth operation of the bar during your shift by preparing drinks efficiently and to a high standard, managing service flow and ensuring staff adhere to our policies
Assist in the development of exciting new drink menus
Train and mentor new staff in bartending techniques, customer service and food preparation. Ensure they are knowledgeable about the menu by providing ongoing training and feedback
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, striving to provide a warm and welcoming experience for everyone
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the restaurant and bar
Accurately handle payment transactions and ensure proper use of the payment system
Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety protocols
Provide food and beverage support in the restaurants as required.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Previous experience supervising a team or the ability to demonstrate strong leadership and motivation skills
Strong knowledge of wines, spirits and classic cocktails and happy to train others
Confident and outgoing personality
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with guests and colleagues
Ability to set and maintain processes and business standards
Able to work under pressure during busy services and have strong organisational skills
A passion for working with others and creating luxury, memorable experiences for our guests
Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively with others in the hotel
Happy to "roll sleeves up" and provide hands-on support
Personal licence holder or able to gain certification
