Objective



To support your line manager to drive in revenue and equally to control costs within the F&B department to ensure an effective and profitable operation. To work alongside the Front of House Manager to oversee and develop the service offering whilst ensuring standards are implemented and followed. To deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all of our guests, with the key aim of retaining and attracting customers.

Responsibilities



People



To develop a close working relationship with all departments, colleagues and managers to ensure guest expectations are met. To work alongside the Executive Chef & Restaurant Manager to develop a strong relationship with all suppliers and continuously search for the most competitive prices. Ability to build positive relationships with the team and have an excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner. To develop strong working relationships with all team in order to execute the required levels of service and to maximise beverage sales opportunities and generate business for the future. Assist the Front of House Manager with the training and development of team members. Deliver the highest standards of service to our guests consistently, in line with the SOP's and brand philosophies. Build genuine rapport with our guests to deliver unique levels of service whilst remaining professional at all times. Support your colleagues but ensuring completion of individual and group tasks to the correct and highest standards. Ensure professional behaviour to all people associated with the business at all times including suppliers, and other businesses in the area particularly within the local community.

Guest Service, Operation and Product



Ensure your own and the teams' compliance with the SOP's at all times, which will ensure the correct standards are being met for our guests. Presence behind the bar at all times during service. Compliance with the drink standards. Taking responsibility for the bar set up; cleanliness, presentation of cellar, chiller room, fridges and back of house areas. Ensuring the bar is clean at all times and the opening and close down procedures are followed. Working alongside the FOH Manager to ensure correct cellar management, stock control and ullage management. Ensure weekly stock takes are being done and the monthly stock take is being done alongside the stock taker. Ensure all orders are in line with the needs of the business and beverage GP. Work to the checklists providing in your department, understanding and supporting their importance to the structure of the operation. Ensure you are confident with your product knowledge, be interested, ask questions, be enthusiastic to learn more. This includes not only the menus and drinks lists but the hotel bedrooms, the local area and all other related subjects to the business. Be a team player - understand your colleagues role and tasks and how your action influence the rest of the operation. Adhere to the uniform standards at all times including high levels of personal hygiene.

Creative problem solver, and sees 'problems' as 'opportunities' Flexible approach - understanding that the hotel environment requires flexibility in terms of the role, always being guest focused and being willing to conduct tasks out with the F&B department should there be a business need to do so.

Dedicated and committed to their current role, as well as their own development and progression within the hospitality business. Excellent organisational skills. Strong team player - essential. Flexible approach to working hours. Smart appearance and professional manner. Must work well under pressure with ability to prioritise. Able to work on own initiative. Good sense of humour - essential.
The hotel will depend on a Bar Supervisor who is 100% committed to the success of the whole hotel, not just F&B.

Qualifications



Hospitality related qualifications are desirable, however not compulsory should your

experiences prevail
