Job description
To be assist the managers in ensuring the quality and delivery of all food & beverages served by all staff here at Castle Street.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and developing the brand, provide and champion training and ensuring that standards are kept at all times and throughout the team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead by example when it comes to grooming and personal hygiene standards at all times.
Maintain professional decorum in all areas of the building, whilst on and off duty, and be a representative of the company at all times.
Ensure to always act kindly and professionally to all customers and colleagues and ensure that all drinks delivered are of the best quality.
Maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments
Attend necessary departmental meetings and training courses as required
Adhere to the company procedures for sickness, absence and holiday requests
Maintain a clean and neat work place at all times
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all bar and hospitality staff provide and champion excellent customer service ensuring that customers are served promptly, courteously and with a smile at all times.
Ensure all staff serve and present all beverages quickly and efficiently while ensuring that our standards are always met, that all work and service areas are kept clean.
Ensure all food served is of the best quality and report any issues to management as soon as they arise.
Collate customer feedback and report back to all management.
Work with all Managers to implement new ideas and to create new revenue generating concepts within the building.
Work to ensure that GP is achieved and keep wastage to a minimum. Ensure dead stock is kept to a minimum.
Complete monthly stock takes
Stock Control - you must monitor stock levels for each area and ensure stock is consistently maintained. This includes fruit and dry stores stock for all bars and kitchen stock.
You are responsible for monitoring and tracking all wastage in the bars ensuring that all receipts for wastage and complimentary beverage are signed off with the person and reason clearly stated.
Ensure consumption sheets for events are completed and filed correctly.
Assist with the recruitment and retention of new staff and assist in minimising staff turnover.
Ensure that all areas of the venue are kept immaculately clean and presentable at all times, back bar presentation, create and implement a daily cleaning schedule for both bars and record daily.
Ensure that glass washers and ice machines in all bars are cleaned on a daily (glasswashers) & weekly (ice machines) basis and keep a cleaning log to hand for inspection.
Report any issues or shortages of equipment to your Venue Manager immediately and follow up on these issues where necessary.
You must work with your bar team to create and implement new drinks deals and keep drinks offerings updated and current.
You will be responsible for the basic spirit and cocktail training for all bar staff and will run monthly training sessions with staff. This training must be logged and signed off by all attendees.
Assist with the setup of any events and ensure all areas are ready in a timely fashion. This includes set ups in any area in the building when necessary.
Attend weekly management meetings
Conduct daily and weekly briefings with the team
Speak to customers where possible to ensure that they are always satisfied with all drinks provided and collate feedback for your managers
Comply with company Health and Safety & Food Safety procedure setting an example for others to follow
Carry out and champion instructions discussed and given by management
