Winchester Racquets and Fitness is a private members sports club situated on the outskirts of Winchester, within walking distance of the city centre and train station. With over 2000 members, the club is a focal venue for racquet sports and fitness in the south of England. As well as tennis courts, squash courts, padel courts, fitness centre and exercise studio, the club offers excellent social facilities including large cafe bar with terrace and 2 conference rooms.

We have a position available for a new Team Leader to join the team. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who is passionate about hospitality.

As Team Leader, you will assist the Bar & Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth and efficient running of the bar.

Key Requirements

Excellent customer service skills Experience of leading, motivating, and supporting a team Good standards of numeracy Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings & weekends Ensure that the bar is always well presented Competently manage opening & closing duties Key holder experience desirable Stock ordering experience desirable Cellar management experience desirable Understanding of licensing laws and responsible alcohol service desirable Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards Ability to handle customer issues and complaints professionally Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Confident decision-making skills with the ability to escalate issues when required
