Job Overview

We are looking for a sociable Barback to work alongside our Bar Manager on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings to make up cheeseboards, charcuterie boards and other small dishes (no cooking required), prepare drinks, wash glasses and slates, clear and clean tables, and keep the bar area clean and tidy.

This is a small, intimate space, so - although this is a table service space - you have to converse with customers, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Please note: This role is currently for Thursday, Friday and Saturdays only, with regular hours of 4pm - 11pm.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of cheese plates, other small dishes, and beverages according to standard recipes.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cheese bar area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good condition.

- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible serving practices.

- Foster a welcoming atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and addressing any guest concerns promptly.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in barback or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.

- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Base salary is 12.50 - 13.85 per hour, plus tips. Total compensation 16-17 per hour
