Job Summary

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic math skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment.

Skills

Latte Art Previous barista experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Proficient in serving food and beverages with attention to detail and presentation. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
