The position involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks and hot and cold food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Previous barista experience is essential

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, other beverages in accordance with company standards Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering queries, and engaging with customers in a friendly manner Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling snacks or light meals Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service Follow health and safety protocols at all times to guarantee a safe environment for staff and customers

Experience

Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing food service role is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
