We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe during shifts. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided to help you succeed in this dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with precision Assist in food preparation tasks as required, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workspace Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of work areas, counters, and equipment throughout shifts Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times for customers Uphold brand standards in presentation, service quality, and hygiene

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar serving role is preferred but not essential Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and order processing Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen duties if needed

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.34-13.40 per hour
