Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Your role will be pivotal in creating a memorable experience for our customers while ensuring that all food safety standards are met.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service without compromising quality.

Skills

Strong understanding of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic workspace. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition to assist customers. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Time management skills to efficiently juggle multiple tasks during peak hours. Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
