The Guillemot Deli in Ballyhackamore is looking for an

experienced Barista

to join our team from late January.

We're after someone who genuinely loves coffee, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys good conversation as much as good service. You'll be working with quality produce, loyal regulars, and a tight-knit team where everyone pulls their weight and the days fly in.

Hours (20 hours per week)

Saturday:

07:30 - 17:30 (10 hours)

Sunday:

09:30 - 15:30 (6 hours)

Additional 4 hours:

agreed between the successful candidate and the team More hours may become available later in the year for the right person

What you'll be doing

Preparing and serving consistently great coffee during busy service Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently Confidently operating coffee machines and cafe equipment Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the cafe, prep areas, and equipment Assisting with food prep and service when required Clearing tables, washing dishes, and keeping the space moving Working as part of a hands-on team where everyone mucks in on all the little jobs Helping customers on the shop floor with our huge range of global produce Learning about and eating cheese!

What we're looking for

Solid barista experience and the ability to make a propercoffee (latte art comes with time, no pressure!) Confidence with customers and the ability to keep things friendly and flowing, even when it's busy A strong work ethic: this is a fast-moving environment and everyone contributes Experience with food prep is a bonus Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Strong time management and the ability to stay calm under pressure
We're a busy deli that focuses on quality, pace, and creating an experience people come back for. That means showing up, staying switched on, and taking pride in your work while still enjoying the craic along the way.

We will be aiming for interviews, from the 19th Jan, with the right candidate starting late Jan / Early Feb!
