Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the cafe runs smoothly during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety standards. Serve customers efficiently whilst providing friendly and attentive service. Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using till systems. Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth service throughout shifts. Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of food items and cleaning procedures. Assist in opening or closing duties as needed to ensure the cafe's operational standards are met.

Experience

Prior experience as a

Barista

or in a customer-facing food service role is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided. Knowledge of

food safety

standards is desirable to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in

serving

customers with professionalism and courtesy is advantageous. Basic skills in

food preparation

are beneficial for assisting with snack assembly or other kitchen tasks. Good

basic maths

skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong

time management

skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods and maintain excellent service levels.
