Job Description

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Barista / Wellness Bar Assistant to join a new wellbeing venture in IG9. This role combines high-quality beverage preparation with genuine care for customer experience and wellbeing. The successful candidate will create a calm, friendly environment where visitors can relax, recharge, and connect.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including artisan coffees, herbal teas, smoothies, and wellness-inspired drinks. Provide excellent customer service and foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards in line with food safety regulations. Manage stock levels, handle payments, and assist with day-to-day cafe operations. Support the wider wellbeing offering by creating a relaxed environment that complements treatments, workshops, or community events. Collaborate with colleagues to develop seasonal menus or signature wellness drinks. Promote sustainable and eco-conscious practices within the cafe.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a cafe, hospitality, or customer-facing role. Competent in coffee preparation and general barista skills. Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices. Excellent communication skills and a passion for customer care. Genuine interest in wellbeing, health, and community-focused work.

Desirable:

Barista training or relevant hospitality qualifications (e.g., Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate). Experience in a wellness, spa, or holistic environment. Creativity and flair for developing new drink or snack ideas. Interest in nutrition, herbal teas, or mindful living.
