Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista / All Rounder to join our lovely team here at The Pantry Coffee House. We are a small, close knit team, and within this role you will be assisting myself, the owner, to run the cafe while I am not there. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a friendly disposition, helping to enhance the overall customer experience.

Potentially looking for 2 members of staff to join at seperate times before May.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, frappes, matcha's, and specialty drinks. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations during food preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils to a high standard. Re stocking. Covering all roles within the cafe including barista, tills, washing up, clearing tables, taking food and drink out etc! Opening and closing the cafe on time. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking their orders accurately and efficiently. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and regular customers. Handle cash and card transactions and maintain accurate records of sales through POS till. Be able to supervise / manage team members to a high standard.

Experience

Previous supervisory experience in a cafe is essential, preferred 1 year. Familiarity with food safety practices / level 2 food hygiene is highly desirable. You MUST be able to latte art to a good standard, and understand how to calibrate coffee grinders / maintain high standards of coffee making daily. Strong time management skills to efficiently juggle multiple tasks at once. Must be able to work solely alone. Must be able to work under high pressure. A genuine desire to help others and provide excellent customer service.
We are seeking someone to start on a part time basis, and then to take over further hours from May time. Hours / days are somewhat flexible, so please get in contact to discuss this side further.
