Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team after Christmas. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a vibrant, welcoming setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ideally looking for Friday and Saturday availability and potentially 1 other day a week, with flexible options to cover (sickness cover) during the week if necessary.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks according to company standards Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system with basic maths skills Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces in accordance with food safety standards Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, addressing any questions or concerns promptly Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times and optimise customer experience

Qualifications

Previous experience as a

Barista

or in a similar serving role required Knowledge of

food safety

standards and practices is preferred Strong

serving

skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction Ability to perform

food preparation

tasks accurately and efficiently Basic

maths

skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients Excellent

time management

skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
