Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and time management within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality standards are met. Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at all times. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as assembling snacks or light meals. Manage cash register operations with basic maths skills to handle transactions accurately. Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to health and safety regulations. Manage multiple orders during peak times by prioritising tasks effectively through good time management skills. Engage with customers in a welcoming manner to enhance their overall experience.

Qualifications

Previous

Barista experience

is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates. Knowledge of

food safety

standards is desirable to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Basic

maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform

food preparation

tasks efficiently and safely. Strong

time management

skills to handle busy periods without compromising service quality. Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well within a team and independently when required. Pay: 12.80 per hour
