Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area, adhering to food safety standards. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well. Manage inventory levels of supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to management. Demonstrate basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers effectively. Exhibit excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Experience

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and equipment. Familiarity with food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards in the workplace. Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills. Basic food preparation skills are beneficial for assisting with menu items beyond beverages. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and improving service quality is essential for success in this role.
