We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a love for coffee and food preparation. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional guest services, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. Your role will involve not only serving drinks but also engaging with guests to enhance their experience through upselling and personalised service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, adhering to food safety standards Engage with customers to provide excellent guest services, ensuring satisfaction with their orders Upsell menu items by recommending additional products based on customer preferences Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet quality standards Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills for processing payments Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks while maintaining high service quality

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen experience is an advantage Basic culinary skills are beneficial for food preparation tasks Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues
