Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will not only involve preparing drinks but also creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience every time they visit.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and address any queries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining basic maths skills for processing payments. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are fresh and presented well. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Restock supplies as necessary and report any equipment malfunctions or shortages to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and procedures. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately. Excellent time management skills to thrive in a busy setting. A friendly disposition with a genuine desire to help customers enjoy their experience. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
