We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that our cafe maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and serving. Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions efficiently, utilising basic math skills for accurate till management. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.

Experience

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment. Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting, showcasing strong interpersonal skills. Skills in food preparation are beneficial to assist with menu items beyond beverages. Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 49 per week
