Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team for Saturday and/or Sunday work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and customer interaction while working within a vibrant team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks in accordance with company standards. Handle food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations. Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and provide friendly service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts. Restock supplies as needed and assist with food preparation when required. Manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritising orders during busy periods with excellent time management skills. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times. Engage with customers courteously, providing information about menu items and recommendations.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous. Experience in serving customers and handling cash transactions is desirable. Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service. Strong organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and stock levels efficiently. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 7.55-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.5 - 18 per week
