Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our dynamic team at Wilson's Food Hall in Seamer, Scarborough. The successful candidate must be barista trained and confident using large commercial coffee machines. This role is perfectly suited to someone who enjoys working with people who take pride in making a great cup of coffee.

Responsibilities

Prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, following company recipes and standards. Serve customers promptly with a friendly attitude, ensuring an exceptional experience. Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including coffee machines, counters, and seating areas. Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts. Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals. Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times for customers.

Requirements

Previous

barista experience

is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of

food safety

standards and procedures is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous. Basic

maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to perform

food preparation

tasks efficiently while maintaining high hygiene standards. Strong

time management

skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills. Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands. Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
