We are a small, family run business seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, toasties and snacks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards Previous barista experience is essential Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment Basic food preparation skills with attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and ensure timely service

Pay: 12.21 per hour
