Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant environment, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld at all times.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks in accordance with company recipes and standards. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service. Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and customer spaces in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required. Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and notify management of any shortages or issues. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers politely and professionally. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a

Barista

or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of

food safety

standards is desirable. Experience in

serving

customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous. Basic

food preparation

skills are beneficial. Good

time management

skills to handle busy periods efficiently. Strong

basic maths

skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills whilst providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
You will be working alone initially, so people with initiative and get up and go are encouraged :)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.29-14.31 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
