Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organised workspace will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.

Around 15-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders. Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. A friendly and approachable demeanour that enhances the customer experience.
