Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organised environment. Duties

Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders accurately and efficiently Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks as per cafe standards Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, or light snacks Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and provide correct change Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure compliance with food safety standards Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills Organised approach to work with attention to detail

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
