Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic barmaid and waitress to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will work closely with kitchen staff and management to deliver high-quality food and beverages while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials. Take accurate food and drink orders using a point-of-sale system. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring all orders are correct and presented well. Monitor tables to ensure guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Process payments efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required. Bartending skills are a plus, as you may be required to assist with drink preparation during peak times.
