Key Responsibilities

Shift Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee daily operations: front-of-house service, bar, kitchen interface, bookings, and events. Ensure seamless shifts and top-tier customer satisfaction--step in to resolve issues on the spot . Ideally, you will have experience in making cocktails, but no stress if not.

Team Leadership & Training

Lead, supervise, and coach staff--including servers, bartenders, and kitchen support. Handle hiring, onboarding, and shift scheduling. Inspire a motivated, high-performing team

Quality Control & Food Safety

.Enforce standards for food and drink preparation, presentation, and cellar/bar upkeep. Monitor compliance with hygiene, licensing, and health & safety regulations

Inventory & Stock Management

Track stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise waste by rotating inventory.

Cash Handling & Reporting

Manage shift-end cash-ups, POS reconciliation, and prepare basic financial and inventory reports for management review .

Health, Safety & Licensing

Actively enforce policies and procedures for a safe environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Relevant Experience

Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a busy gastropub, bar, or restaurant.

Leadership Skills

Strong communicator and team leader who can thrive under pressure. Proven ability to coach staff and handle fast-paced service periods

Food Safety & Licensing Knowledge

Must be well-versed in food hygiene regulations, licensing laws, and ideally hold a Personal Licence .

Organisational Abilities

Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, inventory control, and attention to detail, especially during busy shifts .

Flexibility

Available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts typical of a hospitality environment

Pay: From 12.80 per hour
